Dr. Robert Sedaros
Dr. Sedaros has local roots here in Brevard County as he grew up in Satellite Beach and graduated from Satellite Beach High School. He went on to complete an undergraduate degree at the University of Florida, where he earned early acceptance into medical school. In 1998 he completed his medical degree from the University of Florida and continued to pursue an orthopedic residency at the University of Arkansas. He continued to travel west and attended a sports medicine fellowship at the renown Steadman-Hawkins clinic in Vail, Colorado. There he was involved in the care of many high-performance athletes, including the Denver Broncos and the US ski team.
After completing a sports medicine fellowship in Vail, Dr. Sedaros was eager to relocate back to Brevard County to serve his community. He joined Space Coast Orthopedics in 2004, where he has had the pleasure of serving the orthopedic needs of the community. He volunteered time with several local high school teams including Titusville High, Merritt Island High, Rockledge High, Cocoa Beach High, and Viera High. He also spent many years as a spring training physician for the Washington Nationals MLB team.
Dr. Sedaros is a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons and is board certified in orthopedic surgery with added certification in sports medicine. Surgical interest includes arthroscopy of the knee, shoulder, and hip, including ligament reconstructions and tendon repair. He has expertise in shoulder, knee, and hip replacement, focusing on outpatient and early discharge. He is committed to exceptional non-operative and operative care of his patients.
